FASHION FRIDAY: SPRING IS IN THE AIR!
TGIF Boomerbabes!
Today, I drew my inspiration from mother nature and French crooner Joe Dassin’s song Les Champs-Elysees. It is such a joyful quintessentially French chanson. It brings back happy memories of my time living in Paris. There is no place in the world like Paris in the Springtime. Of course, the second best place is Victoria!
Baby pink is the colour for Spring. It matches my glorious Magnolia tree! The following are my favourite Spring coats and jacket. I wear them all the time and like my decorations, I take them out each Spring!
Look 1:
I love this soft grey Aritzia coat. My daughter Victoria bought it for me last year. I added the pink faux fur collar which I bought at Club Monaco in the January sales. I move the fur around different outfits. Got it for a steal and love it. The coat being so light will transition nicely into the Summer.
Look 2:
I got this blush pink trench coat 3 years ago at Topshop in the Bay, Vancouver. It was a size too big for me but at 70% off the original price, I was happy to tighten that belt! I think that colour and style never go out of fashion. It is also nice and warm as here in Victoria, there is still a nip in the air!
Look 3:
Love this Design Lab pink jacket. The sleeves attracted me. It is such a versatile jacket. You can dress it up with a nice cream sweater and pants, or dress it down with denims. Perfect style and colour for Spring! I teamed it up with a cute neck scarf which I bought in Ireland. I like the flirty little pop of pink!
Look 4:
I bought this gorgeous baby pink silk blouse in a consignment shop. It was never worn. Original price was over $140. I got it for $24! A bargain if ever! It is from Tatum & Olivia, the store I loved which has sadly closed down. I thought the addition of a hot pink scarf around the waist, hot pink earrings, and hot pink bangle added a little bit of oomph to the outfit! It even matches my hall door wreath!
Fashion tip of the week:
Remember, it’s not the years in your clothes, it’s how you accessorize!
Hugs,
