Ben and Jen — What Happened?

I have been a big fan of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner for some years now and watched their marriage tentatively, marvelling at how long they kept it going.  Like everybody else, I wanted it to work, yet had my doubts… They have a lot of topsy turvy astrological stuff going on between them. Good and bad, yin and yang, hot and cold, kind and cruel, power struggles, unfulfilled emotions, temper tantrums and stubbornness (on Ben’s part), and finally they have decided to call it quits. Could they have made it work? If they were ordinary folk like you and me — yes. But Hollywood is a very different kettle of fish… Sadly, that is the price of fame.

Astrologically speaking, they have a lot of positives going for them. Both are fire signs. Ben has his Sun in Leo, and Jen’s Sun is in Aries — that was a good start. They both have rising signs in Cancer, another plus. Jen has four planets in Gemini which makes her a bit of a live wire, and Gemini is pretty compatible with Ben’s Sun in Leo. However, the big problem, I believe, is the fact their moons are mismatched — completely! That is what happened to Lady Diana and Charles and lots of other couples who go their separate ways. Never underestimate the power of the Moon when it comes to relationships! Some Astrologers would say that Moon pairing is even more important than the Sun. When it comes to love, I would agree 100%.

Ben has his Moon in deep, pensive and intense Scorpio, so he feels things deeply, and finds it hard to let go of emotions and anger. His Sun is also in the fixed and stubborn sign of Leo, so being a double fixed sign, he would be pretty set in his ways. Jennifer has her Moon in easy breezy Gemini, combined with her Sun in Aries. Aries/Gemini combination can be a little self-centred and insensitive at times — sorry Jen!  She clearly was dashing around too much and did not see the writing on the wall. She took him for granted — which is a mortal sin when it comes to Leos!

Amorously speaking, Ben’s drives would be a lot different from Jen’s. He is pretty carnal with his Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Mars in Virgo, Venus and rising sign in Cancer,  while Jen with her Mars, Saturn, Venus and Moon all in Gemini, would be more cerebral in her expression. I believe their differences began to emerge in the boudoir. Sadly, poor Jen would have tried a lot harder to try and make it work. With some Leo men, they demand a ton of attention and not every gal is up to the job!

The past two years have shown a lot of planetary daggers piercing their love lives. Spring of next year will be pretty tough on them when Uranus hits their marriage chart’s moon. Lots of Mars/Saturn stuff has been hitting Ben pretty hard. Mars is his sexuality and Saturn is about paying for his sins. It is highly likely he has been unfaithful, and has been caught out. Saturn is all about reaping what you sow.

Pluto is activated in Jen’s 7th house of relationships, so deep pain and deep healing are on the cards for her. They both have good Saturn connections, so they will be mature in how they handle their responsibilities with the children.
