Happy as a Clam…

 

That’s how I feel when I see the acclaimed writer Yann Martel’s handsome face just above mine on Bolen Books’ calendar of events. Is it for real? Apparently so — Bolen Books has agreed to sell my book. Friends are being invited to the book launch on Tuesday, April 12, and here I am wondering what to say. For those of you who think I never shut up, well now I am speechless! And for those of you who don’t know Bolen Books — they are regarded as one of the top bookstores in Canada! I am honoured and deeply happy. Each book I write is like a baby to me. Precious.

I have no illusions about being the next Maeve Binchy or Lorna Byrne for that matter. I am not a writer — certainly not in the league of the authors my baby will be sharing a shelf with. I consider myself more of a storyteller. I have had a lot of interesting experiences in my life. Maybe, by sharing my stories, it will give hope to hearts that are lonely, and looking for some form of spiritual connection. Angels are beacons of light and love. When you read my stories, you will see for yourself that God is Good. And in a nutshell, that’s why I wrote this book.
